Code of conduct

HCC works because members can trust each other. This code applies to everyone in the community: in our WhatsApp groups, at our events, and in messages between members that start through HCC.

Updated 11 October 2026

Be respectful

Treat every member with the same professional respect, whatever their following, profession or stage. Disagree with ideas, never attack people. If someone says no, or doesn't reply, leave it there. Harassment, discrimination, bullying and threats have no place here.

Help each other grow

Ask questions, share what you've learnt, give honest feedback and celebrate each other's wins. You don't need to be an expert to help someone.

Share your work, don't sell

Share your own content for feedback, or to celebrate a milestone. Don't use the community to sell or advertise like paid services, courses, products, affiliate links or referral codes, yours or anyone else's. If someone asks for a recommendation, a helpful suggestion is fine.

No medical advice, no patient information

The community is for content creation, not clinical care. Don't ask for or give individual medical advice, and never share anything that could identify a patient. Discussing healthcare topics for your content is fine, within your professional standards.

Respect what's shared with you

Talking openly about rates and what brands pay is part of what HCC is for, so share freely with other members. Keep other people's messages, rates and ideas inside HCC unless they're happy for you to share them. Posting about our events is welcome, from stories and photos to what you learnt. Brand briefs and full recordings of members-only sessions stay private.

Get it right

Share accurate, evidence-based information, and correct mistakes when you spot them. Follow your regulator's standards: the General Medical Council (GMC), Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), General Dental Council (GDC), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or General Optical Council (GOC). When content is paid for, follow the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) Code. When it involves medicines, follow the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

Talking to the HCC team

If you want to get in touch with the HCC team, feel free to message us on WhatsApp or email hello@healthcarecreators.co.uk. If it's something that needs a paper trail, email is better.

If something goes wrong

Breaking this code can lead to a warning or removal from HCC. Serious breaches, such as harassment or sharing patient information, can mean removal straight away. The decision is HCC's. We may update this code, and we'll tell members when we do.
