Terms of Use

The rules for using HCC: who can join, what we expect of members, and where responsibility sits.

Updated 11 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Healthcare Creators Collective at healthcarecreators.co.uk and any services we provide as part of the collective (community spaces, events, workshops, brand introductions). By applying to join, creating an account, or otherwise using HCC, you agree to these terms.

2. Who we are

Healthcare Creators Collective Ltd is a UK-registered company operating under the brand "Healthcare Creators Collective" or "HCC".

3. Who can join

HCC is for UK-based healthcare professionals and healthcare students who create content online, or who are committed to doing so. To be eligible, you must:

  • Be 18 or over
  • Be a registered healthcare professional (or in-training student) with one of the recognised UK regulators (GMC, GPhC, NMC, HCPC, GDC) or be able to evidence equivalent professional standing
  • Agree to uphold the professional and ethical standards described below

Acceptance is at HCC's discretion. We may decline an application without stating a reason.

4. Membership tiers

Accepted creators are placed in one of two tiers based on stage and reach:

  • Emerging Creator - early-stage or growing creators, focused on building the foundations of their platforms.
  • VIP Creator - established creators with significant reach, prioritised for brand opportunities.

Tiering is HCC's decision. Tiers may change as your platforms grow. Membership is currently free.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Misrepresent your identity, profession, or qualifications
  • Submit false or misleading information in your application or onboarding
  • Use HCC for unsolicited promotion, recruitment, or marketing
  • Share confidential community discussions, private member contact information, or internal HCC materials outside the community
  • Use the website's technical infrastructure in ways that interfere with others (scraping, scanning, denial of service)
  • Breach any applicable laws or professional regulations

6. Professional and ethical standards

HCC exists to promote evidence-based, responsible healthcare communication. As a member you commit to:

  • Maintaining professional standards consistent with your regulator's guidance (e.g. GMC's "Good medical practice")
  • Disclosing paid partnerships clearly in line with ASA and CAP code requirements
  • Avoiding content that could harm patients or mislead the public on health matters
  • Treating other members and HCC staff respectfully in community spaces

HCC may remove members who breach these standards. Repeated or serious breaches may result in permanent exclusion and the deletion of your account.

7. Brand opportunities

HCC may bring you opportunities with brands and organisations, from posts and ambassadorships to speaking at events. You always choose whether to take one on.

For work we arrange, we handle the introductions, the brief, the negotiation, contracts, payment and the compliance side. What you will deliver and what you will be paid are agreed with you in writing before any work starts. Our fee is charged to the brand or organisation, never taken out of yours.

What you post is always your call and your responsibility: you remain responsible for meeting your regulator's standards and for your own tax on what you are paid. You are free to work with brands directly too; HCC isn't a talent management agency.

8. Your content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of everything you create. By sharing screenshots, examples, or feedback in HCC's community spaces (WhatsApp groups, future platforms), you grant HCC a limited licence to view and discuss that material internally. We won't republish your content publicly or to brands without your explicit permission.

HCC's own brand, logo, website, and written materials remain HCC's property. You may not use them for commercial purposes without permission.

9. The website is provided "as is"

We do our best to keep the website available and accurate. We don't guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of every piece of information, or that the site is free of bugs. To the extent permitted by law, HCC's liability for issues arising from your use of the site is limited to direct, foreseeable damages.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded under English law.

10. Termination

You can leave HCC at any time by emailing hello@healthcarecreators.co.uk. We'll delete your account and personal data within 30 days, except where we need to retain something for a legal obligation.

We may terminate your membership at our discretion for breaches of these terms or for behaviour that's incompatible with the collective.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top tracks the latest change. If a change is significant, we'll notify active members by email.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved by the courts of England and Wales.

13. Contact
